GREATER MIAMI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCES FINALISTS

FOR TECHNOLOGY LEADERS OF THE YEAR AWARDS

 

MIAMI, FL – February 21, 2008 -- The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the finalists for its second annual Technology Leaders of the Year Awards.

 

The finalists are (by category):

 

·                         Best Use of Technology: David Crouch, Public Interest Computer & Technology Cooperative; and Jackie Fernandez, South Florida Technology Alliance

·                         CIO/CTO: Steven Berwick, Kaufman, Rossin & Co.; and Andres Aquirre, Netopex

·                         Technology Administrator in Education: Ivis I. Guerra, Baptist Health International Center of Miami Telemedicine Program; and Linda Lecht, The Education Fund

·                         Technology Infrastructure & Resource Management: Hugo G. Perez, DataCorp; and Mark Westman, MARSYS

·                         Technology Innovator: Demian Bellumio, Hoodiny Entertainment Group; and George LaBelle, Independent Purchasing Cooperative, Inc.

 

The Technology Leaders of the Year Awards are presented to individuals who have shown extraordinary technological hands-on experience and whose management of technology resources and/or technological innovations has made an outstanding contribution to their organization and community. Award recipients will be announced during a luncheon on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Miami Biscayne Bay Hotel (formerly Radisson Hotel Miami).

 

The luncheon also features a keynote presentation by Rui da Costa, HP’s managing director for the Latin America and Caribbean Region and vice president for Technology Solutions Group Latin America.
